An experienced physical trainer, Alexander Garbiso owns and operates Mile High Nutrition and Fitness in Denver. Outside of his professional activities, Alexander Garbiso enjoys cheering on local professional sports teams the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Avalanche.

The Colorado Avalanche recently signed restricted free agent Nathan MacKinnon to a seven-year contract extension worth a reported $44.1 million. MacKinnon, a 6-foot, 195-pound center from Halifax, Nova Scotia, was selected by the Avalanche with the first overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and has spent his entire professional career in Colorado.

In three years with the Avalanche, MacKinnon has scored 59 goals and racked up 94 assists for a total of 153 points. Last season, the 20-year-old finished with 21 goals and 52 points before being sidelined with a knee injury after 72 games. By signing the new contract, MacKinnon becomes the Avalanche’s highest-paid player and secures a spot on the team through the 2022-23 season.

Three Reasons to Work with a Personal Trainer

Based in Colorado, Alexander Garbiso is a personal trainer and the owner of Mile High Nutrition and Fitness, through which he trains clients in different locations, often at their own homes. Alexander Garbiso previously worked as a personal trainer at Bally Sport as well as 24-Hour Fitness.

Most people go to the gym, do their work-out routines on their own, and go home. However, an alternative is to work with a personal trainer. Here are some of the best reasons to invest in a personal trainer-assisted regime.

1. Personalized plan. Personal trainers understand that not all body types are the same and a good trainer will have the experience and knowledge to tailor a program to each individual’s physiology and goals. As a result, work-outs are bound to be more effective.

2. Varied and interesting routine. Many gym dwellers fall into the trap of doing the same work-out every day, which is bound to become boring. Personal trainers know how to mix things up by including different types of exercises, and this can be very motivating.

3. Correct form. Personal trainers are experts at helping those looking to correct and perfect their exercise forms. The trainer will teach both good form and good exercise habits - two key elements in any training regimen that will keep workouts safe and effective.
